ARISE and Ski
ARISE & Ski is a premier adaptive winter sports program in Central New York, offering lessons to individuals with varying abilities who want to participate in winter sports. With a strong focus on inclusivity, they provide adaptive equipment and expert instruction for people with spinal cord injuries, developmental disabilities, sensory impairments, and more. Supported by over 100 volunteers and SkiCNY, the program is dedicated to ensuring a safe and enjoyable skiing experience.
ARISE & Ski provides ski/snowbaording lessons and activities to people of all ages and abilities at Labrador Mountain in Truxton, NY. ARISE & Ski provides children and adults living with disabilities the opportunity to take on the snow-covered slopes at Labrador Mountain, offering adaptive ski equipment as needed. Lessons are provided by skilled instructors, including PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) certified instructors, and volunteers who receive comprehensive training.
Program Details:

- Participant Application is now closed for the season.
- Cost: $250 for the 2025 season.
- Eligibility: Open to the public, with no specific requirements.
- Lesson Dates: Lessons will be held on Saturdays and Sundays, either in the morning or afternoon, from January 4-5 to February 8-9, 2025.
Important Information:
- No refunds for missed lessons.
- Lessons cannot be rescheduled.
