Sibs is a program for siblings of children with disabilities. Sibs provides participants with peer support and education using recreation. Games provide opportunities to discuss common joys and concerns with other siblings and allow brothers and sisters, perhaps for the first time, a chance to discuss their lives with others who share similar experiences. Sibs also provide discussion activities on other topics, acknowledging that participants are more than a “brother-or-sister-of-a-person-with-special-needs”. The program usually runs on Saturdays throughout the year.
